Rawayana
a Venezuelan band formed in Caracas in 2007, known for their eclectic blend of reggae, funk, rock, pop, and Latin rhythms — a sound they call “trippy pop.” Born from a group of university friends, the band built a strong Caribbean identity rooted in creativity and experimentation. Standout albums include Trippy Caribbean (2016), featuring collaborations with Natalia Lafourcade and Cultura Profética, and ¿Quién Trae las Cornetas? (2021) and its 2023 sequel. With a strong visual identity, international festival presence, and a loyal global following, Rawayana stands as one of the most influential acts in Spanish-language alternative music.
